Who we are
Lucent Insurance Group is an independent insurance agency. This policy covers https://lucentinsurancegroup.com and the forms on it. It does not cover the separate privacy practices of the insurance carriers we submit your application to, who will each provide their own notice.
To ask a question about this policy, or to request a copy or deletion of your information, call (414) 255-7722 or email info@lucentinsurancegroup.com.
What we collect, and when
We only collect what you type into a form. There is no account to create and no tracking pixel or advertising tag on this site.
Contact form
Your name, email address, phone number, the state you are in, and your message.
Attorney and partner enquiries
Your name, firm or organisation, email address, phone number, and your message.
Quote request
This is the longest form, because an insurance quote needs it. Depending on the answers you give, it may collect:
- Your name, date of birth, address, email address and phone number.
- Your driver's licence number and the state that issued it, your marital status, employment or occupation, and your licence history.
- Details of the violation or court order that led to the SR-22 requirement, including dates.
- The vehicles you want covered and the coverage levels you choose.
- Any household drivers you add, with the same categories of detail for each.
- A document you choose to upload, such as a court order or a copy of your licence.
You do not have to complete every field. Anything you leave blank is not collected.
The quote form saves as you go. So that a licensed agent can help you finish if you get interrupted, the quote form saves your answers to our database each time you move between steps — before you press submit. That means a quote you start and abandon is still stored, and we may contact you about it using the phone number or email address you entered. If you would rather we did not keep it, call or email us and we will delete it.
Returning customers can have the form filled in. Lucent Insurance Group and Wisconsin Ignition Interlock share a customer database. If you have used either of us before, you can confirm your phone number by text and we will fill the form in with the details we already hold — your name, date of birth, address, driver's licence number and vehicle. We show those only after a code sent to that number has been entered correctly, and only when the surname you typed matches the record. We never show payment details or a Social Security number. If you would rather not, simply fill the form in yourself; the option is there to save you typing and nothing depends on it.
Why we collect it
- To answer you — a submission is emailed to our team so an agent can respond.
- To shop your policy — quote details are submitted to insurance carriers on your behalf. That is the purpose of the form.
- To file your SR-22 — once you buy a policy, the carrier transmits the filing to your state.
- To stop abuse — see the IP address section below.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the carriers and service providers described here.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Submissions are emailed to our team over an authenticated, encrypted connection, and quote requests are stored in our database on a hosted server in the United States.
If email delivery fails, the submission is written to a file on the web server instead, so that your enquiry is not lost. That file is not reachable from the web, and we clear entries older than 90 days.
Quote records are kept while they are useful to service your policy or answer a question about it, and reviewed periodically after that. Email in our inboxes is subject to our normal mail retention. To have your record removed sooner, just ask.
IP addresses
When you submit a form, we record the IP address the request came from, alongside a timestamp. We use it for one thing: limiting how many submissions a single address can make in an hour, so that automated abuse does not flood the form. These records are deleted automatically within a few hours. The IP address is also included in the notification email sent to our team, which helps us tell a real enquiry from a bot.
Third parties on this site
- Live chat — we use Tawk.to to run the chat widget. If you open it, Tawk.to receives the messages you send and sets cookies in your browser to keep the conversation together. Their privacy notice governs that data. Not opening the chat means no conversation is created; the widget script still loads on the page.
- Bot protection — our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell a person from an automated script. Cloudflare receives technical signals from your browser for that check. Turnstile is designed not to profile you and does not use your data for advertising.
- Text message verification — if you choose to confirm your phone number on the quote form, we ask Twilio to send you a one-time code by SMS. Twilio receives your phone number in order to send it, and their privacy notice governs that. Message and data rates may apply. This is entirely optional: skipping it changes nothing about your quote, and we do not text you a code unless you press the button asking us to.
- Fonts — typefaces are served from this site's own server, so no font provider receives a request from your browser.
- Insurance carriers — quote details are submitted to carriers so they can rate your policy. Each has its own privacy notice.
We do not run Google Analytics, advertising tags, or social media tracking pixels.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie of its own: a session cookie that keeps your form entries together and protects the form against cross-site request forgery. It carries no personal information, is marked HttpOnly, and expires when you close your browser. It is required for the forms to work and cannot be turned off separately.
Tawk.to sets its own cookies if you use the chat, as described above.
Security
The whole site is served over HTTPS. Form notifications are sent over an authenticated, encrypted connection. Database credentials and mail credentials are held outside the website's files and are not present in any page. Uploaded documents are stored under a generated name in a directory the web server is configured to refuse every request for, so they cannot be fetched by URL.
No system is perfectly secure. If you would rather not send a document through the form, call us and we will arrange another way.
Your choices
- Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct it, and we will.
- Ask us to delete it, and we will, unless we are required to keep it in connection with a policy or filing.
- Ask us to stop contacting you, and we will.
Call (414) 255-7722 or email info@lucentinsurancegroup.com. We do not require a particular form of words.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. A quote for a licensed driver under 18 comes through a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
When our practices change, this page changes with them and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
